On Saturday, May 16, Howell American Legion Post 141 proudly hosted its 5th Annual Military Send-Off Event. Twenty-five future warfighters were sworn in by Brigadier General Matthew Eichberg in front of family, friends, dignitaries, members of the community, and active-duty service members.
These young men and women truly represent the very best of our nation. Their love of country and commitment to preserving the American way of life are evident in each of them, and we could not be more proud.
Less than 1% of the U.S. population serves in the military, making the dedication and sacrifice of these future service members especially meaningful. We thank them for their willingness to serve our nation, thank their families for raising such exceptional citizens, and pray for their success and safety as they begin this important journey of service to our country.
